Fundraiser and Giving Appeal

Many videos that we create for our non-profit clients are used in fundraising campaigns and giving appeals. Below are a few examples of campaigns and videos we’ve created to help our clients reach donors.

 

American Baptist Historical Society

This video was created for the American Baptist Historical Society as a way of showing the work of the organization to donors who might be interested in funding future work. To create this video, Sema Films traveled to meet with multiple donors and then filmed the ABHS facilities. One goal of this video was to use creative filmmaking to allow library stacks and library archives come alive and feel like an inviting space for researchers. This video was used for a report at ABHS’s annual event and then a second version was created for donors, with a direct ask at the end.

Offering for Global Missions Campaign

This video campaign by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is an annual giving campaign that resources churches for year-long giving. As part of this campaign, we created two location overview videos, a campaign kick-off video, and 6 Impact Stories

CleanAir Stove Fundraiser

This video, created for International Clean Energy Solutions was shot in Haiti as a dramatized piece to help potential donors see the impact this stove could have in a community. An additional fundraising video was created later for a different audience that used animation and motion graphics to display statistics, showing the need for this new innovation.

 
 

Rainbow Village

Rainbow Village commissioned two videos using material shot from the same production to be used by their fundraising team. The shorter video was designed for social media while the longer video was sent directly to potential donors.

Episcopal Community Foundation

The Episcopal Community Foundation was looking for a way to engage future donors, so they asked Sema Films to make a video that helped people understand how they might donate to ECF or include ECF as part of their estate planning. This video was used in social media, and included a direct ask to individuals who might be interested in donating.

 
 

End of Year Giving Appeal

This end of the year giving appeal was created for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship to target new and current donors who might be looking for places to give before the end of tax-year cut-off. Similar videos can be created for Giving Tuesday or other seasons of the year when you are asking your donor base to consider giving to your organization.
