Wes Browning
Owner | Director | Founder

Wes is a dedicated storyteller with over 23 years of experience, and has made it his life's mission to capture the profound evidence of the human spirit. Throughout his career, he has skillfully woven narratives that emphasize the deep connections that unite us, showcasing the similarities that bind humanity together.

His journey has taken him to diverse corners of the globe, allowing him to explore and document stories in more than 45 countries. He has carried this passion through projects for Atlanta Public Schools, Africa Exchange, Calendly, The Coca-Cola Company, Emory University, Forum for Theological Exploration, Mercer University, The Rockefeller University, and many others.

Throughout his career, Wes has managed to set foot in countries all around the world, putting him in contact with a wide range of experiences, people, and places. He has a particular passion for stories that originate on the continent of Africa. Throughout his career, Wes has dedicated his efforts to working with non-profits, leveraging the power of visual storytelling to amplify the voices of good in the world and catalyze positive change.

Wes is married to Mali, a multi-talented vocal artist performing opera, jazz, world, and electronic music. She is also the Founder of museSalon Collaborative, a non-profit arts services organization that supports BIPOC-led projects and initiatives that are transforming local communities. Together, Wes and Mali have a blended family of four children and two dogs.



Malesha ("Mali") Taylor Browning
Client and Partnership Development

Mali has worked in the non-profit and social impact space for over 20 years as an artist, consultant, and cultural strategist. Her love for people, story, legacy, and transformation led her to Wes and the work of Sema Films. As a relationship-builder with a knack for visioning, business development, and project design, she feels right at home as our Client and Partnership Development Lead. She is also the Founding Director of museSalon Collaborative, which for 15 years has provided equity-centered consulting services to arts and culture organizations in New York, NY, San Diego, CA, and Atlanta, GA. Mali is also a classically trained vocalist, composer, salsa dancer, scuba diver, and mom of four delightful children (Matthew, Laila, Sebastian, and Olivia).


Naomi Nielsen
Producer | Project Manager

Naomi believes in the power of visual storytelling to build bridges and convey deep ideas. With a career rooted in journalism, Naomi's journey began in Springfield, Illinois, where she cultivated a fervor for truth-telling that centers on preserving human dignity.

Having transitioned into the realm of production, Naomi has donned various hats on film and television sets, showcasing her versatility and dedication. From her role as an assistant on film and television productions to her position as a producer/editor for live sports and digital shorts, Naomi has consistently demonstrated her commitment to bringing compelling narratives to life.

Since making Atlanta her home in 2016, Naomi has been an integral part of Sema Films, contributing her skills and passion to the world of visual storytelling. Her collaboration with this innovative production company reflects her dedication to working with organizations unafraid to dream big and make a lasting impact. Whether on set or behind the scenes, Naomi Nielsen continues to be a driving force in crafting narratives that resonate and inspire.





Anthony Hudson
Director of Photography

Anthony, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, has established himself as a prolific cinematographer with a passion for storytelling through the lens of his camera. With over eight years of professional experience, Anthony has honed his craft, serving a variety of clientele, including non-profits, educational organizations, and religious institutions, each contributing to his rich tapestry of skills and perspectives.

Anthony's affinity for the creative side of video production stems from his love of filmmaking and writing. He sees every project as an opportunity to explore new perspectives and worlds, using his camera as a tool to delve into the narratives that shape our society. His dedication to storytelling is particularly evident in his work with non-profits. Anthony believes in the transformative power of these organizations and the importance of amplifying their impact through visual narratives. By highlighting their efforts, he aims to inspire others to recognize and contribute to the vital work being done in their communities.

Residing in his hometown of Atlanta, Anthony's work has earned him accolades, including 7 GSPRA awards, 2 Telly awards, and a nomination for a Southeast Emmy Award. His keen eye for visuals and profound love for storytelling continue to drive his success, making him a valuable asset to any project that seeks to convey a message with authenticity and impact



Lucas Stoekly

From the early days of carrying a sketchbook, Lucas' journey with art began as a childhood fascination, gradually evolving into a lifelong passion and a thriving profession. Born and raised in Brazil, Lucas discovered the intersection of creativity and profitability in the field of design, sparking a trajectory that would lead him to a dynamic career in audiovisual arts.

During his time in university, Lucas stumbled upon the vast possibilities within the realm of audiovisuals. The allure of video production, motion design, animation, and illustration captured his imagination, propelling him toward a specialization that would define his professional identity. His artistic prowess quickly found a home at a marketing agency, but it was a subsequent move to a video production company that allowed Lucas to deepen his expertise and broaden his horizons.

Lucas' roots in Brazil have instilled in him a profound awareness of the social issues present in his country. Recognizing the transformative power of social action, one of his earliest projects was providing free drawing classes to children in underserved communities. Witnessing the sparkle in these young minds as they discovered the potential to turn their passions into professions was a defining moment for Lucas. This experience ignited a passion for social impact that continues to shape his worldview, as he firmly believes that positive actions have the potential to move the world.

As a Latin American artist living in Brazil, Lucas' narrative intertwines creativity, professionalism, and a profound sense of social responsibility. His story is one of artistic evolution, professional achievement, and a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of art and positive action. He sees art as the missing piece that completes the human experience, a sentiment that fuels his commitment to both his craft and his community.




Brittini Palmer

Brittini is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of words, firmly believing in their ability to shape and change the world. Born and raised in the close-knit community of Steelton, just outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Brittini has carried the spirit of her roots through her diverse journey across cities like Atlanta, Georgia, Richmond, Virginia, and her current residence in New Jersey.

Regardless of her geographic location, Brittini has consistently encountered the persistent presence of injustice, fueling her dedication to unearth and tell stories that matter. With over 13 years of experience in the field, her writing journey began as a reporter for a Black-owned newspaper, where she covered local news and highlighted the stories of Black-owned businesses.

Brittini's words have since resonated across a spectrum of platforms, from print and online media outlets to nonprofit organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and universities. In a bold move in 2021, she embraced a full-time commitment to her writing career, propelled by a deep sense of faith. Since then, Brittini has remained steadfast in her pursuit, resolute and unwavering.

A champion of the overlooked and mistreated, Brittini has taken it upon herself to amplify the voices and experiences of those often marginalized. Her commitment goes beyond the role of a mere writer; she envisions herself as a freedom writer dedicated to uplifting the crucial work undertaken by courageous organizations striving to create a more equitable and sustainable world for all. Sema Films is fortunate to have Brittini craft the words that become our video stories, lending a voice to catalyze change.
