Animation
Using animation is a great way to tell your organization’s story! Sema Films can create fully animated videos or thread motion graphics into any video to illustrate a particular of your narrative. We often use animation to illustrate statistics or to make other instructional or factual parts of a video more easy to understand.
Imagine
This video, commissioned by Hopeful Horizons as part of a five-video campaign, uses motion graphics at the beginning to help explain how children need someone to talk to once they have experienced trauma. The organization was looking for a “kids perspective” to open the video but we recognized that it is often difficult for child survivors to tell their story, and even if they could tell their story, it might not be appropriate for this particular video. In response, the Sema Films team worked with the organization to write a script and bring in child actors and then animated the final product.
Cold Water Collective
The “Seeking Shalom” curriculum is a 45-video film-based curriculum to help individuals, churches and faith-based organizations move beyond “charity” to creating sustainable change in their communities. This animated video is one of three videos in the series that use motion graphics to tell the story of the “Cold Water Collective.” These videos were interspersed throughout the series as a way to use progressive storytelling to teach the curriculum. CleanAir Stove Informational Fundraiser
This video was commissioned by International Clean Energy Solutions and was presented to UN Ambassadors as a way to raise funds for the CleanAir Stove initiative. For this video, Sema Films had previously traveled with the organization to Haiti, so footage from Haiti was combined with motion graphics that helped illuminate statistics and show the need for this product around the world. The video shows an example of how motion graphics can be added to live footage to create a compelling video.
Toward Bold Faithfulness
The “Toward Bold Faithfulness” video was commissioned by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship as a way to help those within CBF give input on future strategy and decision making. The client chose to use animation to quickly introduce a concept without needing to shoot new interviews or gather new b roll. The concept for this video was pitched by the organization and Sema Films wrote the script and designed the video.
