Social and Political Campaigns

Part of our work at Sema Films is to help with advocacy campaigns that work toward the common good. We love to create videos that help change the world, or at least our little corner of it. If you need work for an upcoming social or political campaign, let’s talk!

Kim Jackson for State Senate

These videos were created for Kim Jackson, an Episcopal Priest who is currently running for Georgia Senate District 41. These two videos are part of a series of ten short videos that tell Kim’s views on particular issues.

Kelly Gissendaner Clemency Appeal

Kelly Gissendaner was a prisoner on Georgia’s death row when these videos were created to launch a public clemency campaign to ask the state to convert her sentence to life in prison without parole. While the campaign had far-reaching national results, Kelly was executed by the state Sept. 30, 2015. For more about Kelly’s amazing story, visit the #KellyOnMyMind website that tells her story.

DREAMers of DACA

These videos were commissioned by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship to tell the story of Dreamers during a time when legislation was being considered that would rollback the DREAM Act. The videos were used on social media as a way to ask constituents to join CBF in advocacy work to support kids and young adults who are undocumented.
