Book Trailer

Book Trailers are a great way to get people interested in a book when it launches.

As a mini-commercial for the book, these trailers can focus on a summary of the book or act as a teaser that gets people to buy their copy.

The Almost Sisters

This book trailer was for “The Almost Sisters,” a book by New York Times best selling author Joshilyn Jackson. To create this piece, the author worked with Sema Films to write the script and then provide voiceover for the book trailer. The dramatic elements were filmed and edited by Sema Films. This 45 second spot was used extensively on social media during the book launch.

How to Walk on Water and Climb up Walls

This book trailer was created for David L. Hu’s book, “How to Walk on Water and Climb up Walls.” Dr. Hu is a Professor of Fluid Mechanics at Georgia Institute of Technology where he studies how to make robots inspired by animal movement. Sema Films made two book trailers for this project, one for a popular audience and one for an academic audience. In this book trailer (designed for a popular audience) we filmed Dr. Hu at the Atlanta Zoo, explaining animal movements to his two children, and then used the interview to narrate the book trailer.
